About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cod fillets

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Oil for frying (vegetable or rapeseed oil)

  • Lemon wedges for serving

Preparation

  1. Prepare the Cod:

    • Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels.

    • Season both sides of the fillets with salt and pepper.

  2. Dredge in Flour:

    • Place the flour in a shallow dish. Coat each cod fillet in flour, pressing gently to ensure an even layer.

  3. Heat the Oil:

    • In a skillet, heat about 1/4 inch of oil over medium-high heat until hot.

  4. Fry the Cod:

    • Carefully add the coated cod fillets to the hot oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.

  5. Drain:

    • Remove the fillets from the skillet and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.

  6. Serve:

    • Serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing on top.
