Tuna Pesto Pasta

About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or your choice)

  • 1 fresh tuna steak, diced

  • 1/4 cup basil pesto (store-bought or homemade)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Grated Parmesan cheese for garnish

Preparation

  1. Cook the Pasta:

    • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. Sauté Tuna:

    • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).

    • Add diced tuna and cook for 2-3 minutes, just until the tuna is seared but still pink inside. Season with salt and pepper.

  3. Combine:

    • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and stir in the basil pesto until well combined.

  4. Serve:

    • Plate the pasta and garnish with grated Parmesan cheese.
